IndexNow add-on for LiteCart is an easy way for websites owners to instantly inform search engines and web crawlers used for information retrieval (“search engines”) about latest content changes on their website.
When you create or modify a product in your bac-koffice, IndexNow API does a simple ping, so that search engines know that a URL and its content has been added, updated, allowing search engines to quickly reflect this change in their search results.
Without IndexNow, it can take days or weeks to search engines discover that the content has changed, as search engines don’t crawl every URL often.
With IndexNow, search engines know immediately the URLs that have changed, helping them prioritize crawl for these URLs and thereby limiting organic crawling to discover new content.

IndexNow requires an API key which is automatically generated by MEDIANIM’s INDEXNow module. When you have modified a product, saving the product file enables you to activate this extension. An “INDEXNow file created” information notice indicating that the API key has been generated and submitted. The “INDEXNow Url Product WAIT” warning notice indicates that indexnow.org has received the request, that it is compliant, and that the API key is being validated. IMPORTANT: it can take up to 24 hours for indexnow.org to validate the API key. Once the key has been validated, the information notice “INDEXNow Url Product OK” is displayed, confirming that the url for each language has been submitted. In the log, the list of urls is shown.
